3-year-old Program

Our goal for the 3-year-old program is to assist children to develop a positive self-image and awareness of the needs of others around them, to enable each child to develop skills that will give them the ability to operate confidently in a changing world.

3. Physical skills - fine and gross motor.

4. Literacy skills – written and spoken language.

5. Intellectual skills – problem solving, seeing cause and effect.

6. Decision making skills – understanding consequences of decisions.

7. Organisational skills – thinking logically.

8. Emergency skills acting and coping

·       The teacher and assistant for our 3-year-old program have many years of invaluable experience and knowledge in teaching and nurturing young children.

·       We recognize the need to keep class sizes below average, and take no more than 21 children per 3-year-old session.

·       There is also an opportunity to participate in a parent/teacher interview near the end of term 2.

·       3-year-old groups usually have two incursions a year, plus a Teddy Bear picnic week.
